How to Reset the Canon Pixma MX310 Printer Error Ink Absorber Full [5B00] [5B01]

Enter Service Mode

1. Turn off the printer
2. Press and hold the STOP/RESET button
3. Press and hold the ON/OFF button (do not release both buttons)
4. Release the STOP/RESET button (but keep holding the ON/OFF button)
5. Press the STOP/RESET button two times while holding the ON/OFF button, then release both buttons.
6. If the Power LED turns green and "Service Mode Idle" appears on the LCD, the printer is in Service Mode.

Reset Error Ink Absorber Full [5B00] [5B01]

1. Press the STOP/RESET button according to Table 1 to enter the Ink Absorber Counter Resetting mode.
2. Press the STOP/RESET button four times and then press the ON/OFF button to enter the Ink Absorber Counter Resetting mode.
3. Load A4 or Letter paper.
4. Press the STOP/RESET button twice to reset the Main and Platen ink absorbers and press the ON/OFF button to execute.

Set the Destination

1. Press the STOP/RESET button five times, then press the ON/OFF button to enter the Destination settings mode.
2. Press the STOP/RESET button according to Table 3 to set the destination, then press the ON/OFF button to execute.
