How to Reset a Brother Printer
In this guide, we will show you how to reset your Brother printer in an easy and straightforward way. There are three reset options available: Network, Address & Fax, and All Settings.
Network reset returns the internal print server back to its default factory settings such as the password and IP address. Address & Fax reset erases all saved phone numbers and fax configurations. All Settings reset returns the device back to its original factory settings.
It is recommended by Brother to perform this procedure only when you are with the supplier.
To reset your Brother printer, follow these steps:
- Disconnect the interface cable if choosing Network or All Settings.
- Press Menu.
- Use the UP or DOWN ARROW key to select Initial Setup. Press OK.
- Use the UP or DOWN ARROW key to select Reset. Press OK.
- Use the UP or DOWN ARROW key to choose the reset option you wish to use. Press OK.
- To reset the settings, press 1 and go to Step 7. To exit without making any changes, press 2.
- You will be prompted to reset the machine. To reset the machine, press 1. The device will begin the reset process. To exit without resetting the machine, press 2.
