Canon Pixma iP1600 operator call error
- Alarm light flashes orange: 8 times
- Error: Waste Ink Absorber Full or Warning that the roller's waste ink absorber is full (approximately 95% of maximum capacity)
- Corrective Action: Press the Continue/Cancel button to exit the error and allow printing for a while.
Service call error
- Amber (alarm LED) and green (power LED) cycling: 7 times
- Error: The waste ink absorber is full or the waste ink absorber on the roller is full.
Solution: Restart the printer.
Reset error Canon Pixma iP1600 ink absorber full
You can reset your Canon iP1200 using (select one):
- Canon General Tool v1.29
- Canon iPTool v.0.9.2
- Canon iPTool v.1.1.5
- Canon Service Tool-a v.300
- Canon Service Tool-a v.700
Note:When performing a reset using General Tool v1.29, Service Tool-a v.300, or Service Tool-a v.700, first set the printer to service mode. When resetting with iPTool v0.9.2, iPTool v1.1.5, first set the printer to low-level mode.
How to enter service mode
- Turn off the printer. Press and hold the Resume/Cancel button.
- Press and hold the power button.
- Release the Resume/Cancel button (do not release the Power button).
- Press the Resume/Cancel button twice. Let go of the power button.
Then the green LED blinks briefly, then stays on and the printer enters service mode.
How to enter low level mode
- Disconnect the printer's power cable. Press and hold the power button.
- Connect the printer's power cable (do not release the power button). Click the Resume/Cancel button.
- Let go of the power button.
The operating system notifies you that it has found a "new device" and installs the printer driver. When installation is complete, the printer will go into low-level mode. You can only exit this mode by unplugging the printer's power cable.
