Operator Call Errors

• LED blinking: 8 times
• Error: Warning: The ink absorber becomes almost full.
• Error code: [1700]

Service Call Errors

• Cycles of blinking in orange (Alarm LED) and green (Power LED): 7 times
• Error: Ink absorber full
• Error code: [5B00]

Solution: Reset the printer

Part 1- Enter Service Mode

Service mode operation procedures:

1. Turn off a printer
2. Press and hold the RESUME/CANCEL button
3. Press and hold the POWER button (do not release both buttons)
4. Release the RESUME/CANCEL button (do not release the POWER button)
5. While holding the POWER button, press button the RESUME/CANCEL 2 times, and then release both the POWER and RESUME/CANCEL buttons together.

About for  point 5):

While holding the POWER button, press and release the RESUME/CANCEL button 1 time, then press and hold the RESUME/CANCEL buttons, then release both the POWER and RESUME/CANCEL buttons together.

Note:

• When the power LED lights in green, it's mean the printer is ready for the service mode operation.
• If the power LED does not turn green, the printer fails to enter Service Mode. Please, presss turn off the printer and then repeat Service mode operation procedures.

Part 2 - Reset error Ink Absorber Full [5B00]

• Press button the RESUME/CANCEL according to the table below

• To reset “error Ink Absorber Full”, press button the RESUME/CANCEL 4 times (see Table 1), then press the POWER button to execute. When the operation completed, the printer returns to the Menu Selection Mode automatically (returns to Table 1).

Part 3 - Set the Destination

After reset ink absorber counter, setting the destination printer.

• Press button the RESUME/CANCEL 5 times (see Table 1) then press the POWER button to execute (enter the Destination settings mode.)
• After entering the Destination settings mode, Press button the RESUME/CANCEL according to the listed in the table below (Table 2), then press the POWERbutton to execute.

• Example: to destination Europe. Press button the RESUME/CANCEL 4 times then press the POWER button to execute. When the operation completes, the printer returns to the menu selection mode automatically (returns to Table 1).

Part 4 - EEPROM Initialization

NOTE:

After setting the destination, be sure to initialize the EEPROM.

• Press button the RESUME/CANCEL 3 times (see Table 1) then press the POWER button to execute. When the operation completes, the printer returns to the menu selection mode automatically (returns to Table 1).

Part 5 - EEPROM Information Print

NOTE:

Confirm the model name and destination in-service test print or EEPROM information print.

• Load the paper first (A4 or Letter) then press button the RESUME/CANCEL 2 times (seeTable 1) then press the POWER button to execute. When the operation completes, the printer returns to the menu selection mode automatically (returns to Table 1).

• If all goes well, turn off the printer. Press the POWER button to TURN OFF the printer, wait for 10 seconds, and then turn it ON again. Finish.
