1. The Service Tool V3400 can be downloaded for free from a specific website, or a paid version can also be purchased from another source. 
2. To use the tool, you must first put the printer in maintenance mode by turning off the printer and connecting it to a central unit via USB. 
3. While holding the "Resume" button, press the "Power" button, then continue to hold both buttons until the power light comes on. 
4. Release the "Resume" button, then press the "Resume" button five times while still holding the "Power" button. 
5. Finally, release both buttons and wait for the flashing lights to stop. 
6. This indicates that the printer is now in maintenance mode. 
7. Next, run the Service Tool V3400, select the correct USB port, choose "Main" for the "Ink Absorber Counter," and set the counter value to the closest number shown in the "EEPROM" section.
